In addition, the multi-national composition of the university’s student body enables students to build their practical capability for work while they study, and also fosters international perspectives and mindset. With such international and extensive extracurricular activities available to students, students are encouraged to gain a global perspective, take practice opportunities and build practical ability to put theory to work for cultivating multiple competences for their future employment.
Wealth of practice experiences among faculty
The Department’s faculty appointments specially emphasize their practical abilities, experience in the workplace and instruction-in-English capabilities. All full-time faculty in the Department hold doctoral degrees and have some years of practical experience. The Department also invites licensed professionals (such as clinical psychologists, counseling psychologists, psychiatrists, etc.) from hospitals, schools and related fields to support lecturing, research and co-supervise of students; this extensively enriches the depth, breadth, and extent of course contents.

Strengths in academia-industry collaboration
Through academia-industry collaboration agreement with Taoyuan Psychiatric Center, under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Master’s Program students in the Counseling concentration can learn from psychiatrists in the professional practical training setting for one academic year. This is the only psychiatry academia-industry cooperative learning model for counseling psychology students in the R.O.C. In addition, the Department has established year-long collaboration models with Taipei Prison, ShouShan High School, GuiShan Middle School, TianJin AnDing Hospital in China, and several other institutions. The Bachelor’s and Master’s Program students may apply to enter these institutions for research and practical training, thus bridging between academia and industry to effectively prepare for the job market upon graduation.

Convenient transportation to Taoyuan campus
Our department's master's program is located in Guishan District in northern Taoyuan. This campus is located at the intersection of Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Taoyuan City. The university provides multiple transportation options, including shuttle buses, making transportation to and from northern Taoyuan very convenient. The Taipei MRT can also be taken to Fu Jen University Station and then transfer to a shuttle bus to the Taoyuan campus. In addition, our university has two other campuses - the Jhih-He campus located across from the Shilin Night Market and the Main Campus located near the Jiantan MRT station on Zhongshan North Road Section 5. Meetings and classes can be held at both of these campuses.
Diverse and Integrated Curriculum
Our graduate program is primarily focused on industrial and organizational psychology, which shares similarities with certain areas of management studies. However, our program is distinctive in its emphasis on aspects related to 'people'. Therefore, in addition to the core courses in industrial psychology such as human resource management, organizational behavior, and marketing, our curriculum also includes courses in foundational or applied psychology, such as social psychology and counseling psychology. This is to help students acquire diverse knowledge in various fields of psychology while also integrating and applying it to their professional careers.
Excellent and Diverse Faculty
On the one hand, our graduate program integrates faculty members from various specialized fields within the department, including industrial, counseling, quantitative, and basic psychology, to design courses with the goal of encouraging teachers to design courses that complement each other across different fields. At the same time, we actively seek to expand our faculty to include outstanding experts from industry or academia who can bring their expertise to our teaching. This approach has been well-received by our students.
